Luxembourg City

This site is intended for people researching their Luxembourg ancestry. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

I have been began researching my family history when I was about twelve years old but my interest goes even further back to when I was a little girl poring through a suitcase full of old photographs at my grandmother’s house. By day I am a librarian, so I guess you might say I was born to do research. My intrepid ancestors emigrated to America in the mid-nineteenth century (1846-1867) settling in several ethnic Luxembourg villages in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. Subsequent generations fanned out to the city of Chicago and the states of Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, and South Dakota.
